This section is about getting started with Rozetka: who can sell on the marketplace, what it costs, which agreement and documents are needed, how you get access to the seller account and how the marketplace model works.
General information
Rozetka is the largest marketplace in Ukraine. EU companies sell there remotely, directly from the EU, without setting up anything in Ukraine. The questions below explain who the model is for and what it costs.
Any business registered in a European Union member state that wants to sell to customers in Ukraine. Your offers are listed on rozetka.ua, Ukrainian customers order from you, and you ship the parcels from the EU to their address or to a pick-up point in Ukraine.
Your contractual partner is Rozetka EU Sp. z o.o., based in Warsaw. It gives you access to the Rozetka platform and the right to use the Rozetka brand for online sales to Ukraine.
To start, you need three things:
- products that meet EU safety and labelling standards,
- a way to deliver parcels to Ukraine with tracking,
- a person on your side who processes orders.
No. The model is built so that you don't need one. Your EU company sells directly to the customer in Ukraine, and the sale takes place in the EU. Customs clearance in Ukraine is done in the customer's name or by your carrier or customs broker, so you don't need your own importer there.
For details on shipping and customs, see Cross-border Logistics.
Most consumer categories are open to EU sellers. The limits are:
- Prohibited goods. Some goods cannot be sold on Rozetka at all. The full list is below.
- Stop categories. Some categories are not closed, but selling in them requires individual approval. The list of stop categories is available on request from your Rozetka contact person.
- Product compliance. Your goods must meet EU safety and quality standards and be labelled according to EU rules. Ukraine largely follows EU technical regulations, so products that are compliant in the EU generally meet Ukrainian requirements too.
- Category rules. Some categories have extra conditions. For example, Beauty & Health products must have at least 30% of their shelf life remaining, and products close to the expiry date go to the Markdown category.
Prohibited goods
- Illegal products: illegal drugs, narcotics and psychoactive substances, drug paraphernalia, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, replicas and fake branded items.
- Weapons and dangerous goods: firearms, ammunition, explosives; knives designed as weapons, tasers, brass knuckles; hazardous chemicals, poisons, radioactive materials.
- Regulated medical and pharmaceutical products: prescription drugs, unlicensed over-the-counter medicines, steroids, hormones, peptides, medical devices without the required certification.
- Cannabis, tobacco and nicotine: cannabis and THC products, CBD ingestibles and oils (unless expressly approved), vapes, e-liquids, tobacco and nicotine products.
- Dual-use and export-controlled goods: drones and UAV components, night vision and thermal imaging devices, military-grade electronics, encryption and interception equipment, high-power lasers, certain chips, CNC and military-use components.
- Sanctions-sensitive goods: goods from sanctioned countries or regions, goods involving sanctioned persons or entities, products intended for restricted end use or military users.
- Adult products: pornography, sexual services, sex toys and adult products (unless specifically allowed and age-gated).
- Financial products: prepaid cards, stored-value cards, gift cards and other cash equivalents.
- Documents and personal data: IDs, passports, certificates, personal data lists.
- Animals and biological goods: products from endangered species, live animals where prohibited, biological samples.
- Precious metals and stones: gold bars and coins, silver bullion, platinum, palladium, diamonds and loose gemstones such as sapphires, rubies and emeralds.
Every product you upload goes through moderation, where we check it against the content requirements (name, characteristics, description and photos). Products that don't meet them are returned to you for correction. The full requirements are in Listing & Content Rules.
No. There is no joining fee, no subscription and nothing to pay before you start selling. You pay only when the store is running:
- Commission on sales, a percentage that depends on the product category and the average selling price. The rates are listed in the commission table attached to the contract.
- Technical access fee of EUR 8.33 per month.
Both fees are invoiced by Rozetka EU, a Polish company, once a month in EUR. Companies registered in Poland receive the invoice with Polish VAT; companies from other EU countries receive it without VAT (reverse charge). How VAT and customs work for the goods you sell to Ukraine is explained in Settlements, Taxes & Payouts.
Two costs are outside Rozetka: if you accept prepayment, the payment operator deducts its fee from each transaction, and delivery costs are agreed directly with your carrier. Invoicing and payouts are explained in Settlements, Taxes & Payouts.
It depends mostly on how quickly your documents and product data are ready. Every seller goes through the same six stages:
- Getting to know each other. We explain how cooperation works and answer your questions, by e-mail or on a call.
- Contract and documents. You sign the sublicense contract and send us the questionnaire and your company documents.
- Seller account. We create your account in the seller panel, where you manage products and orders.
- Product upload and moderation. You upload your products, and our team checks them against the content requirements.
- Delivery and payments. You set up shipping to Ukraine and choose a payment method. With cash on delivery you can start very quickly, but it leads to a much higher share of unclaimed parcels and returns, and it takes longer to receive your money. Prepayment through our payment operator avoids this, but first your company has to pass financial verification (KYC). We take care of the process for you, and your only part is collecting the documents. The rules for KYC are set by financial market regulators, so neither we nor the payment operator can skip or speed up its steps. It usually takes a few weeks, and sometimes up to a quarter.
- Launch. Your store goes live together with the approved products, and you can receive orders.
The stages that usually take the most time are translating product content into Ukrainian, payment verification (KYC) and arranging delivery. You can work on all three while the contract is being signed.
Documents
Cooperation is based on one contract and a short set of documents. This section explains what you sign, what you send and how.
You need to sign the contract. The legal basis of the cooperation is the sublicense contract with Rozetka EU Sp. z o.o.
The seller questionnaire is a separate step: it gives us the data we need to create your seller account. The questionnaire does not replace the contract, and the contract does not replace the questionnaire.
- Signed sublicense contract with its annexes.
- Seller questionnaire: store name, name, e-mail and phone number of the manager who will process orders, and the login you want to use. If you upload products by XML, the link to your XML price list can be added later, once your product feed is ready.
- Bank account confirmation: a statement or a letter from your bank showing the account holder and the IBAN.
- For companies registered outside Poland: a document confirming the company's registration (for example, an extract from the commercial register) and a document showing the ownership structure.
If you choose prepayment, the payment operator also needs a set of KYC documents. We will tell you exactly what is required.
Two rules for the questionnaire: the store name must be unique and different from your website, your brand names and your legal entity name, and the manager's e-mail address must not contain the word "Rozetka".
The contract is bilingual, English and Polish. If the versions differ, the English version prevails.
The contract is governed by Polish law. If a dispute cannot be settled amicably within 30 days, it goes to the competent common court in Poland for the registered seat of Rozetka EU (Warsaw). Proceedings are held in English, unless the court decides otherwise.
The contract runs for an initial term and then renews automatically for 12-month periods. Either party can end it without giving a reason, with 30 days' written notice.
Yes. We accept:
- a qualified electronic signature (QES),
- an advanced electronic signature,
- a scanned copy of the signed contract (PDF).
Each party can sign its own copy; together the copies form one contract. Later amendments are signed the same way.
With Rozetka EU, only the sublicense contract. Its four annexes (fees, sales report, invoice template and commission table) are part of the same document.
Apart from that:
- Platform terms. When you use the seller account, you accept the Terms and Conditions of the Personal Accountset by the platform operator, Rozetka Limited. There is nothing extra to sign.
- Payment operator. If you choose prepayment, you sign a contract with the payment operator after passing KYC. Our RozetkaPay specialists handle the organisation and communication; your part is collecting the documents.
- Carrier or customs broker. You choose your logistics partner and sign with them directly. If you don't have one yet, we can put you in touch with trusted partners.
Account setup & first steps
Once the contract is signed and the documents are in, we create your seller account. From there you prepare the store, and nothing is visible to customers until it goes live.
We create the account using the data from your questionnaire. Access is sent to the e-mail address of the order manager given there.
You can give access to your employees and to subcontractors working on your behalf. The account cannot be shared with other third parties.
Yes. Your store stays invisible to customers until it is activated, so you can prepare everything in advance: upload products, go through moderation, set up your integration and get familiar with the seller account.
The store goes live only when your products have passed moderation and delivery and payments are set up. Products and store are activated together.
No. Photos, descriptions and other content of other sellers' listings belong to them and cannot be copied.
You don't always have to start from scratch, though. If the same product already exists in the Rozetka catalogue, your offer can be linked to the existing product page, and customers see you as one of its sellers. Your own product data still has to be accurate and match the product you actually ship.
- Contract signed and documents accepted.
- Seller account active, with a manager assigned to process orders.
- Products uploaded by API, through Base (formerly BaseLinker), by XML import or manually in the seller account.
- Products approved in moderation: names and descriptions in Ukrainian, photos without text in languages other than Ukrainian. The full list is in Listing & Content Rules.
- Delivery to customers' addresses or pick-up points in Ukraine, with tracking.
- Payment method chosen: prepayment (recommended) or cash on delivery.
- A clear process for complaints and returns, because you handle them as the seller.
- Your team knows how order statuses work in the seller account. See Order Handling & Communication.
How the Rozetka’s marketplace model works
On the marketplace you run your own store inside Rozetka. This section explains where Rozetka's role ends and yours begins.
You run your business your way: you decide on your prices, stock, assortment, warehouse, carrier, packaging and customer service.
Rozetka sets the rules of the platform: content requirements, moderation and the order status flow. Rozetka EU can review your listings and ask you to correct them if they break the contract, the platform rules or the brand guidelines.
You do. On the marketplace you sell your own products under your own store name, so you are the seller of record. The stock is yours, you set the prices, and you take care of availability, quality, complaints and returns.
Rozetka provides the platform and does not buy or resell your goods. The sale is between you and the customer, so shipping and customs documents show your company or your carrier as the sender, not Rozetka.
No exclusivity is required. The sublicense is non-exclusive, and you can keep selling through your own website and other marketplaces. If you use a supported multichannel tool, you can manage your Rozetka offers from the same place as your other channels.
